Increasing your videos organic reach is one of the most important parts of a content marketing strategy, because you want to reach as many of your target customers as possible. The more people you can help, the more likely you are to convert customers.
What is Organic Reach?
Organic reach is the natural reach of your posts on social media. This is everything that you are posting to your feed and how it reaches your audience.
Your organic reach can be affected by the number of followers, connections and subscribers you have, as well as by any hashtags you are using on social media.
The SEO (Titles, Descriptions, Tags etc.) of your blog posts and videos are a large factor in organically appearing in search results, and another is viewer engagement.
We’ll have some videos in the future that look more deeply at SEO on YouTube, so make sure to subscribe to our newsletter so that you don’t miss those videos.
The more views, interactions and followers you get from a video, the wider your organic reach becomes, and therefore your videos have a greater chance of being found.
Getting More Views
Before you can increase engagement, you need people to be clicking onto your video.
The title and thumbnail for your video is really important. Typically these are the first things your audience sees, so you need an eye-catching thumbnail and an enticing title to draw them in. Just make sure you don’t use clickbait.
Once you have your viewer watching, it is super important to encourage them to engage with your video. You can do this by simply asking them to like and share the video.
The more helpful your video is to the viewer, the more likely they are to engage.
To get more comments, ask your viewers a question in every video. Doing this will increase the likelihood of them commenting. You should try to respond to every comment, as this in turn increases the engagement, while also helping to build a community around your content.
