One of the most important things you can do to make a sale is to build trust with your customers, and a great way to do this is to provide examples or testimonials from previous customers.

If you can demonstrate your track record with recommendations, then that can help to reduce the perceived risk your potential customers have.

Customer Testimonials

Most businesses share testimonials from their customers. Typically these are a short quote that goes on their website. While it is great seeing these testimonials, they do not put a face to the name, and lack credibility.

Video Testimonials

Some business use video testimonials, where their client is sat down in front of their phone or webcam, giving a recommendation. The downside to these is they are typically boring, and lack substance that will help you to make a sale. These do not add much value to your sales process.

Case Study Videos

Very few business are using case study videos. These are the best way to build trust with new customers. A case study film - typically 1-2 minutes in length - looks at three main areas: The problem your customers faced, the solution you provided to your customer, and the results your customer is now seeing as a result of your product/service.

Using a documentary style for these films adds authenticity, providing a look into your customers business and the work you have done. This engages your potential customers, and helps them to relate.
