A question I am often asked is how much free advice should I give away before I start charging for it?
The answer to that is actually pretty simple; the more you share with your customers and leads, the better.
This is because it never hurts to be seen as a generous brand.
Sure, some of the people watching your videos will go away and do it themselves. Others may watch the video, give it a try and realise they need professional help. The rest of the viewers will instantly see how much time this will take, and go straight to seeking out professional help.
If you have been giving away free advice, building up a rapport and a relationship with your viewers, they are going to trust you. You will become their first port of call for anything to do with your industry.
If the content you are producing and the advice you are sharing provides answers to your customer's questions. If it helps them to solve their problem and shows them the path that leads to their success. You will develop brand loyalty.
Whether they buy from you right now, in three months or three years from now, because you took the time to help them, you will be at the forefront of their minds.
