1. Content marketing isn’t about telling the world how great your company is.
A common mistake business owners make, is thinking that their content marketing should be all about the company. If you do this, you will drive your customers away.
Your videos need to share strategic brand information, helping to solve problems that your customers may have.
As I’ve mentioned before, it never hurts to be seen as a generous brand.
2. You should always have a strategy behind the content you produce.
If you’re just creating content, without putting much thought into it, you are not going to see the results you desire.
Every video you release should be part of a marketing strategy. You need to know what your core message is, who your customers are, where you can reach them, and what their customer journey will be.
Without this, you are wasting your time and money.
3. You should always use advertising in conjunction with your content.
No matter if you already have an audience, or are just starting out, using paid advertising against your videos is one of the best ways to increase your reach.
As you grow, your organic reach will improve, but that doesn’t mean you should stop paying for ads. The more you increase your reach, the greater the chances are of you building a community around your business and therefore getting more customers.
